So I cannot get the carbs to break free and I do not want to strip them anymore than I already have. I dropped it in the water after having it run on the trailer to see what happened. It ran rough than stalled and I couldnt keep it running so it went back on the trailer. Im sure the new gas stirred up the tank and the carbs really need to be cleaned.

Is there any other way to get them off? Can I remove them as an assembly from where they're mounted to the engine? I think it is called the rotary cover?

Also would this carb setup work on the 95 sportster?

thank you.

Those carbs would be good, but be sure to get the frame to the flame screen or you will end up with 3rd party flame arrestors and need rejetting of the carbs.
