Hey guys. Yesterday I went up north to do some work on my ski, cuz last year it gave me alot of problems.. So I figured I would have a fresh start. Yesterday I siphoned out the oil and fuel, changed all my oil lines, and my oil filter. Last year someone in my family put the wrong oil in it, and ever sense then, the overheating buzzer goes off. So I figured new lines and a new filter would fix this problem, but it didnt. So after doing the lines, filter, siphoning everything out, and changing plugs, I dropped it in the water to test it. Started pretty easy considering it was the first start of the season. Last year I noticed my ski wouldnt idle, it would just die if I let off the throttle, so yesterday I turned in my idle screw and fixed that problem, idles great now. I noticed mid throttle tho it was pretty slow and not responsive at all. Looking at the carb I saw another adjustment screw below the idle screw, so I turned that in as well, and it made it worse, So i ended up backing it out, and that helped alot, its really responsive now with no bog. I rode for about 10 minutes with no buzzer going off so I figured my problem was solved, then as I let off the throttle, I could hear that buzzer going off, and it kept getting louder and louder.. What do you think is causing this? Water it shooting off the back holes, so I dont think the cooling system is plugged up. The engine is pretty hot to the touch, but I rode it pretty much all last season with that buzzer going off, and theres no engine damage. So is my ski really overheating, or did the buzzer possibly go bad?
