95 speedster stator

would a stator from a 717 engine fit 657x,could this cause no tach? thx also what is the difference from 657 and a 657x

yup, its compatable, hell its the same part for both motors. The difference between 675 / x, is deck height. You cant interchange the head, from one anutha...cylinders and crank assy, pistons, are same.
