I had to source a MPEM from a seadoo with the 657x and my mechanic had to jimmy the wiring for it to work, and couldn't get the fuel guage enabled

Does the fuel gauge go through the MPEM on the speedster? You may have bad fuel sending unit which is usually the F1 fuse.
