[Wow] that sounds like alot of play. But it does sound about right to me as they do seem to have more play than I would think that they should have . Maybe someone will give you the exact thrust clearance or you may need to refer to the manual. :cheers:
Impeller end play?
That sounds like it's a bit much. You should be able to feel it pop back and forth but not an 1/8".............
The manual states the end play on a new impeller shaft bearing at .005 - .021 in. I hope this helps you out a bit.
