95 SP issue getting on plane

So my newer to me 95 SP has recently started to not pop out of the water and plane out unless I'm turning a little. It seems that the pump is maybe starving for water when I'm going straight. When I turn it to the left or right it grabs water and I can get it up to speed and it will rip around. I've been searching the forum for a similar thread but no luck yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

From what I've gathered could this cavitation be caused by the carbon seal on the pump I'm relatively new to PWC but have been able to handle the issues I've had with help from the forum. I love this little jet ski and plan to give it a full once over after this season.

If the engine is running and revving fine then your correct it's likely cavitation

Sorry if this is a stupid question, would I check the rubber boots inside the hull or the impeller?
