95 SeaDoo XP Rattle at Idle

I just purchased a 95 seadoo xp and it seems to have a loud rattle while idling in the water. As soon as you just touch the throttle, the idle goes away. I can't really tell where it is coming from, but from looking around it's from the impeller. Is this something that I should worry about? The seadoo seems to run fine otherwise and there are no noises at WOT.

i would hook the hose up to the ski and start the ski with another hose spray water in the the intake and see if it still makes the noise to see if you have something going loose. have you checked the jetpump oil lately?

i'm not sure about the oil, i'll have to check and see if the dealer changed it or not. I had them just go through the machine before I bought it and they said it didnt need anything..if they didn't change it, would it be worth it to change? There's only a few more weeks of riding left in the summer. The machine did sit for 3years before I bought it.

How do I go about hooking a hose to it? I'm kind of new to these machines..

u can buy a anti rattle kit on seadoosource.com... i dont think thats necesary tho

To me all the Rotax 2 strokes sound like they are going to come apart when they ideal on the hose!! They are noisey suckers, but run great in the water..
