I have a 95 seadoo xps that ran great but when you shut it off it was hard to restart. Got into carb and cleaned the jets, new plugs, new gas and started it. Ran good so I shut it off and restarted fine. took it out and ran it bout 5-10 minutes and at 3/4 speed it just died!! tried to restart and would bog like it was flooded. turned off gas and got it to kinda start so I turned on the gas and right as I got up to speed it died again!! I was stuck for like 2 hours!!!! A friend told me if it's not taking in water it will shut off when it gets to hot. Is this true, any other Ideas, could carb be clogged that quick!! Please help!!

No, not true. Check that your overheat sensor works, unplug and ground the wire
end to a cleaned spot on a head bolt, It should sound. the sensor makes contact
at about 205*. You should update the fuel delivery system, if you haven't done that,
and rebuild the carbs with new needles & seats, and a genuine Mikuni carb kit. Bills86e

thanks

I'm new to seadoos but I workon cars alot. My friennd said he took the carb apart and cleaned out the jets so I out a new starter in it an fired it up. ran in the yard so I took it to the lake. The wierd part is how it ran like a top and then just died. That's why I didn't think it was a carb issue. Seemed more like a scensor issue. But if you tell me a carb can act up like that I'll believe you!! Thanks again.
