So my ski was working perfect about a month ago but the last few times we've taken it out, it will cut out when you put it full throttle. Often when you let go of the throttle the ski will kick back to life (aka, the engine doesnt actually shut itself off, it just cuts out and then when the throttle is relieved it starts running again), but sometimes it does cut out all together and requires a restart. Initially when the problem started, and the engine cut out all together, you couldnt not restart it unless you put the ski into reverse...it would only start in reverse. After getting it started, we could put it back into drive and it would be fine until you went full throttle again, then it would die. Also, as an added note, the ski doesnt actually go in reverse...when you put it in reverse and pull the throttle, it s as if its in neutral...it doesnt go backwards, it stays in one place...So this makes me believe it might be a problem with the thing on the back (sorry for lack of technical lingo :P) that goes down when you put it in reverse. The engine, i believe, is fine, I think the problem has to do with either the reverse gear or the throttle itself, but hopefully you guys have a better idea? Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated as the ski runs perfect apart from this stupid problem. Thanks guys, love this site. You've already helped fix one of my skis, now the other one and ill be smooooooooooth sailing!!!
