my xp will start and run for about 400 feet across the water then die if you wait 3 minutes it starts back up and you can go another 400 feet?... any one got anything thanks alan

Fuel selector valve is clogged and will not let fuel flow freely.
Do you still have grey fuel lines?

The carbs are clogged. Replace the gray fuel lines as they deteriorate from the inside out and clog the carbs. Pay special attention to the internal filters too.
