Okay, the compression on 1 cylinder is like 10 psi and 110 psi on the other. What is everyone's opinion on doing a top end rebuild? I'm guessing the rings are done so I'm considering a rebuild... Is this a wise choice or should a complete motor swap be in order, Thanks!

If it were me I would take out the motor, you really need to anyway to do a proper top end rebuild, split the case and take a look, if the bottom end looks clean, no signs of burning or scorching, no metal grindings, etc. I would only to a top end rebuild.

If the bottom end also has probs. I would by a crate motor.

I lost about 7-8 mph on my top end speed. I did a compression check today and I am at 130 on the low and 120 on the top end. Should I just rebuild the top end or is there another problem??
