Shop vac and a 5/16 tube, fish it down the intake and turn on the shop vac. The towel will be to big to get sucked in, but it should be strong enough to hold it while you pull it out.

The shop vac took another good size chunk out as well, got about 2/3 I think out. Would you do everything you could to get that last bit out or would the crank just chew it up? Keep in mind I plan on sucking all the oil in the system out through the return and replacing it with fresh. Still going to pull the intake off tomorrow and make sure I didn't damage the rotary valve.

Been awhile since I updated this. Didn't really want to be one of those people that documented a bog standard rebuild. Long story short is that both fuel systems, oil systems and pumps have been rebuilt and seem to be working well. Couple of issues have cropped up, the SPI does seem to have some weeping crank seals and spewed out a ton of nasty oil when I tried to give it a few revs. Should improve when I get a second to run in awhile longer. Electrically, everything seems perfect. I replaced both gauges with the later model LCD multifuntion gauges and rewired them. Look great and add a nice little extra touch. Do have a couple of questions on if anyone has some info on some more tasteful upgrades. Looking for some decal kits for both skis (reprinted?) for that OEM look and possibly some cheap hydroturf if such a thing exists. Other than that, its all cosmetic from here on out.

Gentelmen. It has been quite a little while since I last updated this. While I have been hard at work on these they are almost complete but I have run into a very slight issue. I had to buy a new hood for the 94 XP. Just refurbished the hood and installed. I went to shut it closed and realized it doesn't really fit for shit. The post is about a 1/4 towards the stern compared to the latch itself and won't close at all. Is there any way of adjusting either the hood hinge, post in the hull or the latch?

Yes you can loosen the post, slide it, then re-tighten it. If you still need some more you can also slide a pipe over the post and tweak it a little but be careful with that one.

Thanks for all who helped on this restoration. Sold the pair and the trailer for 3k. Very happy haul and excited to ride my new ride, a 2006 RXT. Thanks again!
