94 GTS Single Carb Removal

I've got the fuel lines swapped out on my problem ski, I just have the pulse line to go and to get into the fuel pump side of the carb and clean up the filter.

What is the best way to remove the single carb from a 94 GTS with the 587 engine. Is it to remove the whole rotary valve cover, or take the two mounting nuts off and pull the carb that way? If I pull the rotary valve cover will it also require disconnecting the oil pump?

I just take the carb off. If you have mounting nuts... you may have to take off the throttle arm to get to the nut on that side.

Thanks for the reply Doc, there are nuts holding the carb to the RV cover. I didn't know if I took it off that way that the bolts holding it from the other side would fall down into the engine or stay in place.

Thanks,

Kelly
