was given a 94 gts and just rebuilt the carburator, it will start up when I choke it but then dies, it will start sometimes but usually wont keep running unless I give it about 1/2 throttle. I've changed all the fuel line, filters and have set my low end setting all the way from 3/4 turn out to 1 1/2 out not sure what to do next help

running wont idle

I did get it running but it wont idle properly need to keep giving it gas or it dies. Is there more then one filter inside the carb one for hihg and one for low. I'm think its my low end setting now that I've played with it I'm not sure if its set right

Still sounds like a fuel issue...

1) Check the gasket on the in line filter under the hood.. It will suck air it it's not tight..

2) By-pass the selector switch, they will cuase problems.. Take the reserve line coming from the tank and connect to the filer inlet..

3) If you still have problems after this it could be the fuel baffel.. There is a
screen in the bottom that can get cloged.. I just had this problem with a 95gts I bought.. I needed to cut out the screen, it was not leting enough fuel flow from the tank..

I have actually had all of these problems..

ron I had to check it and It had no gasket I'll try to find a gasket tomorrow I'll do the baffle next. would of never thought of gasket Thanks

OK just spent about 4 hours pulling gas tank and checking all hose and replacing them, put gasket in filter and got it started but wont keep running when ideling. I can see gas flowing in when I give it a little throttle but none when idleing or just turning over I think it might be inside the carb that stopping the flow or I might have my throttle cable adjusted wrong

Sounds like you are on the right track. You are getting closer to having fun.
How about the high setting. It should be 0 to 1/4.
Make sure that the when you adjust the throttle linkage that the oil pump linkage is working and at idle setting the lines on the linkage and the oil pump line up with each other.

thanks I disconnected the oil pump and pre mixed it to 50-1. I read on here where you need to keep the bottom lines connected to tank or fill them and connect them together. Is this true? I had the 2 lines feeding into each other already I'll fill it tomorrow

Not sure about the lines, I run on the oil pump. I believe SBT sells block off kits for cheap. Might check into that.
Using Sea Doo oil the mixture should be 40:1.

Yep you need to keep the bottom lines conneted, they oil the rotary valve..
I keep my tanks about 1/3 full just for saftey sake!!! With pre-mix you should be running 40 to 1.. I run all my machines that way...They are all old.. It just makes me feel better.. It cost a little more in oil but worth it to me...

I wanted to thank everyone that helped me. I took it out yesterday and it ran great. I still have to get the idle down right will do that next time I go out but thanks again for all the comments they were very helpful Jim
