94 657 gtx dual carb oil pump delete

If you took the oil pump off of this dual carb setup how much of that linkage can I take off and what are the lower chokes on the carbs supposed to look like if I removed everything down to those posts that control the lower flaps? Open? closed? Help! thanks guys.

First, do not remove the oil injection.
Second, those are not lower chokes those are the throttle butterflies and don't touch them.

Follow the carb rebuild sticky to the letter and you will be good to go.

Thanks Mac. This thing was in pieces when I got it but hopefully I'll get it back together with some good advise from this forum. I did however remove the oil pump because it was bad, there was a block off plate in the pile of carb parts that was included so I assume that was what the previous owner was attempting to do when they gave up.
