Ok I need a new impeller for my 93xp. The splines are gone causing a no forward movement condition. Anyway I have found a few possibilites on Craigslist. One is a Skat track impeller only that has 69 stamped on it. The other is a pump from a 97 and is part number 271000497 11/22 pitch. Mine should be 271000182 11/26 pitch. What is the difference in the pumps? They sent me pics and they look the same... What will the difference in prop pitches do to my ski? I imagine the stock 17" shaft will work on both? My pump needs a wear ring also. What would be the most reliable and cost effective solution? Thanks for any help and I have tried searching and found the part numbers but not sure about compatibility.

The only thing it will affect is speed. The 11 cm is the diameter, 22 cm is the pitch of the vanes, ie the amount of water it moves in one revolution, - slip of course. So in short, get the right impeller. Chester had some for sale check out the classifieds. Good luck.

I have bought both those impellers recently on the used market. The Scat 69 is old school #'s that mean 16/19(I think). This would be good for a 587 but not quite enough pitch for your 657. The other you mentioned is off a 717 and this would be a little much. I believe you should replace your wear ring and driveshaft(splines are gone). You don't want to strip your new impeller right away.
