I want to swap the 587 out of my sea doo and out a 720 in it

Do I need to switch any electronics

It will run fine if you plug it in(plus the starter wire). You will need a taller pitched impeller to keep the rpm under control otherwise you'll just hit the rev limiter. Hopefully you have the whole doner ski and not just the loose 720 because you will need cables too.

Oh the 720 airbox will not fit either.
