Just picked up a XP the other week and I'm starting to notice that it stumbles on accel. Of course it didnt do this when I test drove it for an hour...go figure..
Started to notice it earlier in the week when I was riding, towards the end of my session...figued I must had been low on gas...fuel gauge is inop.
Filled it up before I went out today...then it started to do it again

The best I can describe it is that it sounds like its bouncing off a rev limiter... like a wap, wap, wap, wap then as it speeds up it will take off. Never dies or anything like that. Once I have it going there are no know issues. It just seems like getting it up to speed is the issue. with two people on it, it was more of an issue...I also tried to sit further back on the ski and it seems like it helped it a little...
Previous owner says that a new carb kit was installed a month prior to sale. have paperwork to prove.

I've been running 87fuel.

Its a badass jetski..puts my Yamaha to shame!

Thanks. Ill take a look at it when the sun comes up. Ill get a picture and post it.
looks like an easy fix...youtube...

If I were you I would get an OEM replacement wear ring . I have an WSM and upon installing it was WAY too tight ! SBT sells them too but I have no experience with them .

Got the WSM ring..all they had..guy pulled it out of the freezer. Told me to keep it frozen and it will go right in

I dont know how mnay hours are on ski but I just might rebuild the whole jet jump assem... Its also a 4day weekend for me and I wanta ride! luckly, I have my yammy VXR....LOLOL

Getting it in wasn't the problem .. It was the clearance between the impeller and the wear ring . The starter motor wouldn't spin it . But if it is tight like mine then you can fine it down then put I back on the ski . First startup I sprayed some soapy water around the blades so it lubes the pump for the first start .
