I got this seadoo from a friend, he said it had not run very much and had not in years, the sticker on the hull is 2000. The engine was froze up, I took the head off cleaned up the rust in the cylinders (not much, just enough), got it spinning. I had to take the gas tank out and clean it, replace hoses, fuel filters, new plugs. I put a little mix in the cylinders and got it running. It was a little rough but not bad at all considering how long it sat up (no back firing, or pinging) , with water on it ran for about 10 minutes and then it sputtered and stopped. After that I can not get it to start, I checked the cylinder pressure, about 125 psi in both cylinders. I took the plugs out and turned it over, fuel mist out of the cylinders, reinstalled plugs and then when I turn it over and try to start it, it's like it's trying to start like it out of time, sometimes at the end of the start it will sputter and stop. Could this be the carbs or timing? or what?

Thanks for the help.

make sure your fuel lines are not crossed up, and try new plugs, along with a new/good battery.

New plugs, new battery and when I removed the return fuel line from the pto carb fuel was coming out at about a fast dip, extended cranking did not improve
the flow. also I noticed fuel coming out of the hole in the diaphragm cover on the carb on the pto side. I think this means bad diaphragm? Does it sound like the carbs need to be rebuilt?
