787 rebuilt engines on ebay

Anyone buy an engine on ebay from 5 star service. I will need an engine maybe by the end of the year. Im getting close to 200 hours. I see the have reman cranks and trued welded rods. I remember guys saying that the reman cranks could be trouble.

some of the other builders were very busy year or more ago. Full bore and so on. Just thinking ahead. I could do it myself but im not sure which parts to buy and from whom.

any thoughts?

I'd shy away from eBay sellers.

If the motor is properly maintained I'd think you could get much more than 200 hours from it.

As far as options you could always get a reman crank from SBT, a piston kit, a full engine gasket kit and find a local machine shop (preferably one experienced with 2 strokes) and have them bore and hone to fit the new pistons

I'd get a used oem from westside power sports before a ebay reman

SBT stuff is only good for cranks and fuel lines

5 star service is great, they are local to me, 2 engines rebuilt by them so far, great prices.
