787 R&D Exhaust and Intake

It's a "Best Offer" deal so he may take $175 or $200. The R&D pipe is not a huge performance improvement but it is a tough pipe that will not need the welch plugs welded and it's pretty easy to install. The pipe does not rev much higher then stock but has a better "hit" down low when you punch it. Your carburetors would have to be re-jetted to use this pipe and flame arrestor (intake as they have described it).

This is for a 787 seadooaddiction the twin pipes you have are proally for a 915

Oh how I would love to have a set of 787 twin pipes.

No you don't. The whole twins thing comes from the snowmobile word. They had good results with twins but the sleds are not under the constant strain out ski engines are. Plus once you add the waterjackets they are more then twice as heavy.

If the performance benefit outweighs it then so be it. Unfortunately it never did though. PSI came out with a set of twins for the 717 but they never caught on at all. Then PSI and RPG(two different companies) made twins for the 787. The PSI's were a little faster then stock up top but doggy in the hole. The PPG versions were just DOA from what I understand. I've read where there was a lot of buzz about the team RPG X4 with twins when it showed up to the races but it was last to the first buoy.

I just don't think twins were an improvement worth the extra weight and lack of hull space until Factory Pipe made them for the 951. Both long and short versions of the XPL pipes are sought after and of course your RXX pipes add 30HP.

That sucks I saw a chart about the power curve on that other forum. Guess the manufacturer made up the data. Would still be cool for a wall hanger.

Billy o said those twins pipe psi made great hp on dyno, more than factory pipe spec 2...but on water those twins pipe no better than spec2 ...dyno data and race is two different world
