When removing one of the driveshafts in my challenger 1800 to remove a sucked up rope I discovered that the previous owner failed to install the bumper on the PTO side. That end of the driveshaft was pretty stripped out, not sure how long it would have lasted if not replaced.
New driveshaft seems to fit fine but I am worried that the PTO may be damaged. Does anyone know if the PTO is a harder material then the driveshaft? I may just end up replacing it anyways for piece of mind but am curious.
