Hello again guys. I posted a few days ago about my bad 657x engine.

I found a really good deal on a 96 xp. I was wondering how hard it would be to swap the 787 motor and everything over and what all I would need to swap into my 1995 gtx.

You can't.

Well...ANYTHING is possible. But the mounting for the 657x and 787 are two different configurations. The 95 simply doesn't have the proper mounts cast into the hull to accept the 787.

I don't think a 787 would even fit in a 95 gtx, the engine bay is kinda narrow. Also you'd likely run into problems getting a driveshaft.

It will physically will fit... but as above... the mounts are totally different. You will be doing a lot of fiberglass work. I would advise to not start down that path as it will probably cost you more that to just get the proper engine.
