717 carbs same as 657x?

[Don 94 seadoo xp 657 pair]

A 96 gti 717 I bought has nearly seized shafts on the carbs. I have sprayed and soaked them, with little luck. I have a pair of 657x carbs from a 94xp, will these work if I swap jets springs and needle seats and the way the carbs mount?

Or can the shafts be pulled cleaned and reinstalled? I know on an auto carb you have to de burr the butterfly screws first then its critical to get the butterflies aligned when reassembling.
