Good morning. I know there is a lot of information on Mikuni Carbs out there and thought I had a handle on it until I got as information from OSD when looking for parts or new carbs

I know the carbs have been rebuilt before and Nick stated they a special series made for the 657x with discontinued needle jet springs which he thinks are 115 grams.

What I have found looks like the spring should be 80 grams for dual carbs and 95 for the single carb.

Is the correct for the BN38 (I) pictured in this post? The springs that came with the rebuild kit from SBT pop at different PSIs and I believe they should be the same PSI.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, George

Never use any carb parts from SBT.

All the springs from Mikuni are still available and I can check what yours takes on Monday.

Thank you. I appreciate it. The darn things are not complicated, but getting the right information is not the easiest. There is so much GOOD AND BAD infor out there on the WEB then throw in the varients and design changes from year to year and you find yourself second guessing all the work you did on your motor.

Thanks again for the help. Once I can get these carbs rebuilt, I might be able to get the machine back out there before the end of the season.

Guess I won't be much help, LOL.

My spring chart has the data missing for your ski. Of the only two springs I haven't been able to identify are yours 270500242 and 270500264. Still trying to buy some new old stock so I can determine what they are.

Copy. I the mean time I will see if I can get the springs that I have to work with in the spec listed in the manual. Thank you for checking.
