New to this, Im a auto mechanic so Im a little unfamiliar with these pwc things. Anyway the 5 amp fuse on the computer blows immediately. I disconnect the plug at the stator and its ok. I thought the stator was the problem but no. Im suspecting the computer next, because there really isnt any thing else in line. Wireing is ok. Any help would be appreciated, I dont have or have seen any trouble trees for this problem.

not sure what ski your referring to, but keep the stator plug connected (mpem grounds thru it), then locate the rectifier and unplug the red and yellow wires from it. If fuse still pops, then yup, need new mpem, if doesnt with red wire, then replace rectifier, if stops with yellows unplugged, probably a bad stator and/or metal shavings, grounding it out.

Thanks for the quick response, Ill be back to the lake in a couple of weeks and ill check that. Does anyone have a source for used parts, such as the mpem?
