4 TECH engne alarm. PLEASE HELP

Hi Guys i have got my boat at last, put it in the water today for the 1st Test drive. was going good had it warm up and slowly took it up to 6800 RPM and got a CHK ENGINE alarm. one number 2 engine. so stopped it when u run under that 6800rpm as it runs fine no alarm. but take it over and it goes off. any ideas on what this can be before i take it to seadoo for them to put the code checker on it. if i was to take it out and keep it under 6800rpm where it dose not go off will that hurt the engine? any help people can offer would be great.

What engine? How many hours? I wouldn't want to be running an engine at the RPM's these things run with an engine light coming on. If something did happen, at least you have that 2nd engine, but still. Wish I could help you with the technical aspect, but the mech's should be waking up soon. Good luck!

155hp twin 4 tech.

i have been told between 50-55hrs.
