4 tec or 2 stroke - which Sportster to buy

Hi,
I am considering buying a 2004 Sportster 155 hp with 20 hours cw trailer for $ 11k cdn or a 2003 Sportster 155 hp 4 tec rotax motor cw trailer for $ 10k cdn ~ 60 hrs

I know the 4 tec is "cleaner" for emissions and probably better fuel economy.
I have had good luck with 2 stoke snowmobiles over the years and am tending to go two stroke.
BRP appears not to make the 2 stokes any more / not sure if service or parts becomes an issue.

So two stroke or 4 stroke ?

Appreciate your input

Andrew

No more 2 strokes...in some states they are outlawed on some water ways. Parts will get more expensive too, as they become outdated. The newer 4-tec is the newer, better way to go.

this is a debate as old as time... I like the 2 strokes. Easy to work on and there will be parts for a LONG time... yes some lakes have banned the 2 stroke, but if it's not banned now, it won't be in the future, since I don't know of any brand new 2 strokes even being made...

Kawasaki SX-R is brand new and 2-stroke and so is the Yamaha Superjet.
