4 tec oil filter question

On the oil filter there is a six sided stud or nut. can I get that special socket from a sears or do I have to go to the sea doo gods for it.. Or has anyone used a regular socket.

You can use a standard socket, I believe the size was 8 mm or 10mm.

I bought an assorted set up here in Canada for $11.99 at Princess Auto. They are called "E-Torx" an E-10 is what is required.

Thanks for the help. I started my ski's up and I wanted to run my 4 stroke before changing the oil. i will get the six point socket I don't want to strip the nut.:hurray:
 
just changed mine the other day. you need to buy a torx socket E12. Sears sells them as a set for $20.00. You can purchase the single E12 socket online for about $4.00 plus shipping.
