2nd Battery

I have a 96 GTX and I am planning on installing a small stereo, I am wondering if anybody has ever installed a second battery in one of these skis, it doesn't have to be another AGM but could be a small 12v 7ah. I am not sure if the charging system would be able to handle another small battery.

The charging system on these is pretty small and barely enough. It will keep a battery topped off but it is not like a car alternator so if you drain a battery with a stereo it will not charge it back up like a car.

As far as the stereo on a PWC, I just don't get it but that is just me.

You could install a second battery in the front bucket,,,but you will have to charge it overnight before you use it,,,also,,,there solar packs out there now that power some radios,,,worth investigating.
