Hey All,
Anyone know if the 26 Pin AMP connector is still available? I broke the little latch hooks that hold the connector into the MPEM. Or, has anyone had this problem, and came up with a fix? Thank you. Cheers, George

How about 2 tiny dabs of crazy glue,,,strategically placed,,,so you can remove it in the future,,,just a thot,,,i just press them back in,,,done

Sorry for being a little late to the party, but could someone please describe or direct me to a picture of this AMP connector? I've been using their parts for most of my life (I design electronics), so I may be able to help.

P.S. They haven't actually been called AMP for quite a long time - they're now "Tyco Electronics".

Good morning. Here are some pics of the connector. The retaining clips would be on the top and bottom. They are molded on the connector.

They don't generally come unseated when the clips are broken. Breaking the reataining clips off comes from squeezing them holding excessive pressure on the clip to remove the plug. Ask me how I know?? Use the corners to remove them. I think you'll be OK without the clips. Lots of skis don't have them. Good Luck !!

Thanks. That's an odd one - the trick will be figuring out whether it's a stock AMP/Tyco part or custom, but I have an idea. Can you show me what one of the pins looks like?

Thanks. 23 pins are round and 3 are the flat plugs. Hope this pic helps. Thanks.

Thank you. I seems in there pretty good.

Hmm. The flat pin is obviously just a quick-disconnect, but it probably has to be one of theirs in order to fit and lock into the housing properly. The round pin is too fuzzy for me to really tell, but I'm leaning toward it being a CPC (circular plastic connector) type - I've used a lot of those, and if that's what it is, the extractors are cheap and easy to get. Can you make out any part numbers on the housing?

And where are these used?
