215 sc sportster no start

So my 2006 Sporster was weak to crank over so I assumed the battery the chirp at start was also weak , put in a new fully charged battery . I could herd some buzzing st the solenoid so I replaced it and now absolutely nothing. Note I did try and jump start the old solenoid and it did create a spark before I put the new one in. I feel I’m further behind now all suggestions welcomed

Check all of the physical connections between the battery and the starter including at the battery shut-off switch and the starter, and also including the negative connection to the engine. A loose or badly corroded connection anywhere along the way could cause this. I had a similar problem with my 2009 Speedster and it was a loose connection at the back of the switch.
