Hey all,
I have a 2020 GTX 230 and am having an issue trying to get it to run. First, there was a dead battery. I replaced it with this one (Amazon.com) After replacing the batter still didn't want to crank. Discovered that the relay had the green crusties. So I replace it with one of these (Amazon.com: HIMARKLIF 4PCS Main Harness 30Amp Relays 5Pins 12V Compatible with 2008+ Sea-Doo GTI GTR GTS GTX RXP RXT Cruise Spark 900 Base 16/19 Sport 18/21 Fuel Pump Relay Replace# 278003828 G8V-RH-1C7T-R-DC12 : Automotive) Now it cranks and at first it started up. Ran really rough and I didn't want to keep it running out of the water so I stopped it. put it in the water and started a couple more times. Now it just cranks and doesn't start. While out of the water I did spray some carb cleaner in the intake by the throttle body. It fired right up then died. I figured it was a fuel issue. I removed the line from the fuel rail and the pump is working fine it fills a jar pretty quick.
At this point I'm thinking it's something up with the fuel injectors or whatever part of the ECM tells them to fire. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Is there some voltage I can look for on the injector connection to know it should be firing? Let me know if there is more information that would be useful to diagnose what is going on. BTW I forgot to mention I do not see any check engine light but at one point after trying a few times to start it the battery light came on and I saw the message "IBR Module Error". I assumed that was due to the multiple attempts at cranking since it did not show up at the beginning.
Thanks in advance,
Rindress
BTW I did read this post 2020 230 GTX, Will crank but not start, no error codes. and while it's very similar I didn't find any information about the electrical signal to the injectors.
