I just upgraded from a 2001 gtx to a new GTX 230. Still in the break in phase but I noticed with such a deep V it feels like it would be difficult to get to slide out. Was wondering if anyone could offer some input on how playful the new gtx can be once it’s broken in?

That is the big drawback in my opinion of the new 4-strokes, they are not playful. They are made to hook up and go especially in chop but they will never be playful like the lightweight 2-strokes for spins, slides and jumping.

Sounds like you need to convince your significant other that you now need a Spark Trixx.

That’s what I figured.. I’m gonna miss the play fullness but it’s hard to complain when I’m comfortably cutting through chop in the 60’s .. definitely gonna have to start saving up for a spark!

yup, you need one of each. You can get a spark 2017 used with IBR for probably around $4500-$5500 and just put extended VTS on it for $200 and that is all you really need (don't even need the VTS but it's fun). Got my second one used for 5300, 3up

I concur. My 2018 GTI is less maneuverable (playful I meant) than my 2003 GTI. Yes, you need one of each (not sure about the Spark). The 2018 is all about comfort and unless you really try to beat it, it will not corner and kick and be as sharp as my 2 strokes.

I love my 2018 for the comfort and seating in rough waters but my 2 strokes has more kick. I wanted to part away from my 2003 when I bought the 2018 but after fixing it, it is a keeper until it dies.

Benji.
