Hi,

I just bought a 2017 rtx with 32 hours on it. When we have it on the trailer with a hose connected, it runs fine. Rpms rise and no issues. Once it is in the water, it will only go like 5 mph (my husband said rpms go to 3 bars, I did not see the actual number). When we bought it, the battery was totally dead, but is now charged. Also, we found a shell stuck in the back area, but everything there looks cleaned out. He tried to go forward and then backwards to see if that would blow anything out. The confusing part is, once it is back on the trailer, everything is fine. Any suggestions of what the issue could be? Thanks!

As far as you know has it ever run in the water? It would be much easier to help us diagnose the problem if we had an idea of what maybe caused the problem.

Try a new battery in it. It’s under load in the water so if your battery is weak it won’t turn it over fast enough to start it.
