So besides a good oil change, filter change AND PLUG CHANGE, what's involved? I have ALL the tools to make this a 20-hour change.

Besides the oil and filter change, plus spark plugs, what else is involved? My son is coming home from Afghanistan and I REALLY want him to be able to ride it. Don't want my 2016 GTR 215 sitting at the stealership for three weeks while they get this service done SINCE i just HIT 20 HOURS If i can do it, and log it, myself.

Thank you in advance!!

I'VE got the two year dealership bonus WARRANTY. Want to make sure I'm in compliance with it.

Thank in advance my bothers!

Why are you doing a 20 hr oil change BRP says your good to go 50 hrs for first service in the 2016 operators guide . Unless im missing something in the guide. Just curious because i have a new 2016 GTI 155 Limited thats now at 30 hrs . I check oil every time i take it out and its not even dirty yet and the plugs are a nice color and dont show wear.

Check your pump grease. Dealer would clear all messages.

Once upon a time I drove for a year seeing maint on my display before I shelled out the $30 the following year and had it cleared.

According to my manual, the first oil change is required at 25 hours, so no problem if you want to do it early, and the plugs too while you're at it. I wouldn't inspect the pump grease, though, as that involves iBR removal, which can be a pain in the neck and should be done at the end of the season. You'll need to order new screws for that, too, so be aware of that. There are a few videos on that procedure (including ours). Give it a good inspection, too (inside and out). Check ALL the clamps, hoses, etc. Your son will love it. A great welcome back treat!

Thanks for the answers folks! The Dealership does a 20 hour service that includes checking trailer tires for alignment, which I know how to do and adjust if needed, as well as checking all clamps and an oil change despite what the manual says. And completely agree with them, especially the oil change. I just wanted to make sure there was nothing else I was going to miss.

I did a 10 hour oil change just like I do for my cars at 1000 miles.

Just trying to understand why you did a 10 hr and are going to do a 20 hr oil change am i missing something in the operators guide for the 2016 Seadoo's ? Only thing i can find is the First 50 hr oil change and service . Point me to were it says that the 2016's need all this service. Or is just a preference thing that you always follow for anything new ? Because when i walked out of my dealer he said c ya in 50 hrs of running or fall storage .

I've been a car and aviation mechanic for 30 years. I tend to do more frequent break in oil changes.
