Hello All; I bought a new 2014 wake 155 last year, and noticed the vts did not work , adjusting up or down made no difference in speed or position in the water. ( the display does show the trim changing though ). This spring I tried it again and found the same results. I then took it out of the water, started it, and watched the back end while the trim button was being adjusted. Again the display showed the trim changing but the jet did not move. Still not working. Took it to the dealer and explained what was going on, he took it in the shop for a look while I waited. 5 minutes later he called me into the shop and said it was working just fine, and he had made no repairs. He started it up and gave it a little gas then started moving the trim up and down while I watched, he was right, it was working. I asked if it might have been a loose connection in the wiring that he might have bumped. He said all he did was take the seat off and shine a light back at the motor. So I'm at a loss as to what was going on. I haven't got it back in the water since I was at the shop, but hope to try it this weekend. Is it possible that the trim makes very little difference in performance??? Has anyone had a similar experience?

I don't know if there is a difference between the 2014 model operation and my 2012 model or not. But, the manual in the 2012 says that The VTS system cannot be fully tested without the engine operating in forward position. If the engine is not running in forward position only the VTS indication will change when the VTS control switches are pressed, the nozzle will not change position. So in the shop when the dealer gave it a little gas he put it into forward and it worked.
If you are changing the VTS using the Mode/Set buttons you need to press the Set button after choosing the VTS position.

The VTS is nice: In choppy water you can raise the bow for a smoother ride. If you want to spin then lower the bow. When pulling skiers, tubers or wake boarders I like to lower the bow. For a quicker 'Hole Shot' lower the bow. For jumping waves I like to stay neutral.

I hope this helps. Let me know what you find.

Thanks for the response and information. I haven't tried it since it was at the shop, (hopefuly next weekend, weather permitting) But when I tried it in the water, I would put it in vts mode and press the up or down button and I could see the position change on the indicator. I thought that was all I had to do. I didn't know you had to press the set button after each position change. That was probably my problem all along... Next time I'm out I'll use the set button, and it will probably work fine... I'll let you know the result...
