2013 GTI SE 130 DESS

I just pulled my SE 130 out of storage and prepped it for use.

I am annoyed with the number of times I get the "Reading Key Message" over and over.

It's like it can't perform the handshake so it just keeps trying.

I have no choice pull the lanyard, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in again before I get a read success.

I tried my learner key(which was never used) - it does the same thing.

Last season this happened every once in a while but now it seems to happen about every other time I want to start it.

I have the CanDoo Pro paired to this machine, is there any sort of diagnostics I can run or is this just a failing DESS Post?

Pretty common, same issue on my 2011, make sure the key is perfectly aligned with the dess post. I was putting mine on with with a small downward tilt and it would not beep twice. Try cleaning the inside of the keys and dess post with electronic cleaner. My learner key is better than my normal so my key might be bad.
