2012 Sea Doo GTX Limited 260 Will not power up after riding

I took my Sea Doo out yesterday , rode around for about a hour, wanted to switch drivers in middle of lake, shut it down , made the switch and I couldn't get it to start, wouldn't turn on. Had to get towed back to the dock and so I tried it before leaving about a hour later and it started right up! Any ideas what this could be? Known issue or just a fluke? Thank you for any help!

Would it crank? Any beeps when the lanyard was put on?

It would do nothing, no beep, no crank, no lights no dash info, nothing, Acted like battery was disconnected, Just had a new battery installed a week ago from Sea Doo dealer as well as a tune up, oil change etc.

I'm guessing a loose battery cable or very poor connection.

I don't know how the 2012's respond, but on my 98 GTX, if I shut off the engine and leave the lanyard attached, it will power down after a minute or so. I have to remove the lanyard, and reattach before it will respond to the start switch.

I messed with lanyard a lot, didn't want to be towed! Where is the battery located?

Good point. My 2010 GTX requires a push on the START button to wake it up. It can't start until I do that. Once it wakes up, it cycles through the self check then 2 beeps and good to go.
