Experienced,
I have a 2012 Seadoo GTR 215 that was purchased used. When I bought the craft I didn't notice any corrosion or paint issues. I had the craft for several months now and during winterization I noticed paint flaking all over the motor. The craft is running perfect, but does anyone have a suggestion to handle this issue????? Thanks.....

very weird...

typically when I see that (besides the fact that the engine is usually 12 years old, not 3) I think of two things.

1) lots of salt has been inside, lack of any anti corrosion protection
2) engine has been repainted, and not very well at that.

besides pulling & painting not much you can do except maybe a liberal dose of anti corrosion all over the place, Maybe Fluid film might help it from getting worse ?

I agree with the Fluid Film. Unlike anti-corrosion, it won't evaporate.

Thank you for your responses. I am new to the forum and to have a place to ask questions and get honest correct answers is awesome. Thank you all very much.

The other thing you might want to do is after a ride, just pop the seat for a few days to let the inside dry out. Even though there might only be a small trace amount of water in there, when the seat is on it's all bottled up. Just a temp swing can make them sweat inside.
