2012 GTI cluster replacement needs programming?

Title says it all, have two skis that both need a new pn: 278002803, these aren't plug n play?

Nope, needs flashed to your model year ski and then needs married to your ECU.

Candoo pro guys can sell them flashed for you
But you’ll then need them married to your ECU

Thanks for the replies. I think a Candoo Home might be a good investment. I'm supposed to be getting 2 new clusters from the dealer but doubt they'll be flashed or that I'll actually get them..

Thanks. Candoo replied to my email about replacement clusters and said this:

"We only carry part number 278002270, which is the only cluster that has to be flashed..
All clusters have to be married starting in 2006 and up
So you can buy the cluster anywhere and then marry it with our tool."

These guys seem to know their stuff but just curious if anyone else has experienced this?

I originally needed part #: 278002498 but looks like it's been replaced and is compatible with part #: 278002803, which is a much cooler looking cluster
