Today, I found a small hole next to the bilge pump. I never notice before. Please see pictures.
My question is what is the Purpose of this hole? Or it’s not supposed have hole. What if water get in to this hole then where the water goes? Any boat owner noticed this hole?
Than you for your help.

I am not certain, but I'm wondering if that is just a way for water that gets into the front of the boat to travel back towards the bilge.

I have a 2008 Challanger 180. In the middle compartment that opens theres a hole like that that leads to the engine compartment. I think its so if you take on water it can drain out
