2011 rxt is problem!!!!

I just picked up a 2011 RXT IS and within a half hour in the water the maintenance light came on. WTF! So I stopped and checked everything I can see and all looked well. So I continued to ride at varying speeds for the breakin period. Within an hour and half or so I'm crusing at about 30-35 MPH when the engine looses power, check engine light on and IBR light came on. WTF! I stopped and I had no reverse or the neutral function. So as I head back to the dock I cut the motor. I turn on the motor to reposition myself due to drifiting and the lights went out except the maintenance light. I had reverse and the neutral function back as well. WTF! So I immediately bring it back to the dealer and they hook it up to the computer. They could not give me an answer about the check engine and the IBR light coming on. Suppsedly no code came up and all looked well. As for the maintenance light, as per the dealer it was known to happen within the first few minutes and that it was a glitch frrom seadoo.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Nomal?....I think not for a $15000 ski :reddevil:but...?
 
When i picked up our new gtx is like 2 weeks ago.. i found no problem with it, ive done just over 10 hours now and its working perfectly. You should NOT have any problems with a 15-17k ski i know. Disgraceful! But the iBR is amazing!!
 
i just bought a new 2011 seadoo rxtx260 and i have about 23 hrs on it and the same thing happen to me .. i was cruising around 55mph and i hit the brakes to slow down a little bit and the ibr light came on and i had no neutral or reverse but had power foward. so i turned off the ski and waited five minutes before restarted.. when i restarted it the light went away and had all three functions running fine F,N and R.. but later on in the day i was riding and the ibr light came on a whinny grinding whistle noise came from the engine compartment and i lost all functions F,N and R and then my check engine like came on... with no codes.. it was wierd it was running fine before it happened.. and i had to get towed the worst part was i was 15 miles away from the dock well its at the dealer right now i should find out tomorrow what had really happen.

damn , i just picked one up the other day and just got hull numbers done on it and tommorrrow taking it out for a spin:drool5: . hope none of those issues happens to me . just a quick question when you were breaking it in did you use the learning key or the normal key when all the issues happened??:driving:

I continued to ride without a problem. When I get home I used the iBR override function to rinse off the ski and the gate got stuck in the up position. WTF!!!! Apparently the gate came of the tracks. I took it back to the dealer and dealer says they haven't seen this yet. WTF!!!! Now I sit here pissed the f#@k off without my ski. Buyer beware for 2011 models!!

Finally got it back. iBR Actuater replaced. Test rode it no problems. Sure hope this was the fix.
 
My 2011 RXT 260 slung a #1 bearing at 45 minutes (babying the throttle) been in shop all week "suppose" to be getting NEW Engine shipped out now BUT this has Me Very NERVOUS! Have had 3 Waverunners and never a minutes trouble! Kicking myself in the butt for switching brands now:(
 
I dropped my rxt off to have a dock rope installed can't think of the real name for it now but when I dropped it off they said a recall was issued for it the timing chain need to be replaced I had only 7 hours on it. Got it back and haven't had it the water yet at least I didn't have to pay for that. Looking forward to riding it in a weeks
 
well put my rxt is 260 in the water today and for like the first 40 mins no problem , so im sitting a mile off shore and could not get the thing to go past 7 mph and was using the leaning key went back and forth from touring mode to sport same thing so i head back in and almost to dock while the motor starts to act funny sounds like something broken, almost at dock when engine light comes on and then it dies, try to start it and the altinator doenst work. so get in and get the trailer , put trailer in water then get on ski and it starts up then dies again and no engine light!! then dies again. about after 20 mins messing with the ski to get on the trailer had forgot about the vts and had it angled wrong tring to get it on the icatch trailer finally locked down and on the trailer . well off to the dealer for repair tommorrow morning . the thing worked great before it took it back for the recall the timing chain. and now this shit. i had no power and then issues with it starting andn then it seemed to work for a 2 mins session, then die again wtf. and i was just using the leaning key not the yellow one. i had about 7hrs on it when i took it in for the recall, today it said it had 3 hrs on it???? i thought i was going to be the lucky one and not have any issues with this model like the rest of crew here, guess not. cant wait to hear what the service dept at the dealer has to say about this , most likely oh its ok just ride it.
 
Hi that whistle noise is your hose came off the supercharger they have a fix for it it is a new hose and super charger housing i spent a day of vacation on mine epoxy. It on until i got back dealer said well i guess we know how to fix it on the water now lol
