Hi all,

So I recently had an issue with the T.O.P.S. sensor (fault code 1502) checked the resistance across it and fair enough it was out of spec (25 ohms instead of approximately 35 when upright). This has now been replaced and it still will not start.

The relay is buzzing when you first put the key in (yes I have checked all earths and they are fine) once the buzzing goes away the ski does nothing for a minute. Then does 2 very short beeps, one long beep, a pause and then the 3 starting beeps. Hit the start button, hear the start solenoid switch over but that's where the action stops. I have not seen any fault codes come up.

Also when I first put the key in no immediate beeps, have to wait a couple of minutes for the sequence to commence.

Does anyone have an idea what I can check next? Take the battery off it for 12 hrs and hopefully the ECM resets itself?

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere, not necessarily a ground wire. The DESS post should recognize the key right away, not minutes later. Check your DESS post as well.

If you hear the solenoid click, it does not mean it is working properly. Those solenoids fail by still clicking making you think they are working fine but they are not putting voltage through. Check voltage on the starter side while holding the start button after you hear the click.

Is your battery confirmed good? Does it turn over when you jump the solenoid?

I have already checked the DESS post but can check again. That does sound correct though with the bad connect because the dash wash flickering a bit as well.

I will check the solenoid tonight with the starter button, also will try and jump the solenoid tonight.

Had a friend with this same issue. He bought a new key, had it programmed and the issue remained. Turned out to be a bad ground to the DESS interface.
