2011 gti se cruise control and speedometer problems

Has anyone else with a new sea doo with a gps speedometer had problems with the accuracy of the speedometer? Ill be cruising along at, say 30 mph, on cruise control, then all of a sudden the engine goes to idle, the speedo reads very high, meanwhile im sitting still holding it wide open. It has something to do with the accuracy of the speedometer. I'm not sure what is going on, it seems very random. There's also times where I'm wide open (55 mph or so) then all of a sudden the speedo will read 75-80 mph and the limiter will cut it back again.
