2010 GTX 155 Hose Question

Just purchased the above Sea-Doo for my wife after years of being a boater who did not like jet skis. I have changed my view as they are fun. Going through the craft to check everything out and found a hose next to the battery that is connected to a fitting thru the hull under the lip of the hull, the other end was just laying loose. The Hull Rear View 1 diagram shows the hose and two ends but not where it is connected at the forward end. Picture attached. Having owned boats for years, I am not keen on thru hull ports being open to the bilge.

Sounds like a battery vent hose. Not needed IF you have an AGM battery. Otherwise, the battery will have a little nipple to attach the hose to.

Thank you. I am sure it has an AGM so I will crimp it off with a zip tie and not worry about it any further.
