When cold it starts right up, when warm/hot … good luck. Just goes “clunk” if anything.

Already replaced starter and solenoid (back in 2017) and tonight I ordered new solenoid, + and - cables off battery, and new start/stop switch. Any other ideas if all this does not solve it?

We’re assuming with all the battery posts lately that your sure you have a good battery. Always the first step in troubleshooting starting issues.

Replaced positive and negative cables, starter solenoid, start/stop switch, same thing. Starts every time until it’s all warmed up. Battery is new. It just goes “clunk”. Not like it’s spinning and trying to start. More like starter is forked. Gonna pull starter off and look at it….the cable from the solenoid to the starter was black and melted at the starter.

Sounds like the starter is pulling a lot of current. When you replaced in 2017, did you replace with new OEM? Aftermarket starters are not very good and don't last long compared to OEM.

New starter was the ticket.... well at least I know it has all new everything else now ;)

I forgot how hard it is to get the new one back in......
