2009 RXT 215 registration number removal

I have a RXT that has had the registration numbers on it since 2009. They seem to be baked on and will not just peal off. What is the best way to remove them without damaging the gelcoat?
Thanks

I’ve used a hair dryer and a plastic razor scrapper to get them started, if your lucky once you get a corner up you can heat ahead of where your pulling and they may come off in one piece. If it is gel coat acetone will take off any glue residue that’s left behind
