Hello, Getting no power with DESS connected. I’ve checked/replaced just about everything I can think of besides the dess post and ECM. New starter solenoid, replaced all fuses including (3 relays), fixed common 30 amp fuse problem by splicing into the other power wire Prior to pulling my hair out, I pulled the cap off of the original relay, plier pressed the contact and plugged it in without the dess connected. The fuel pump kicked on , but no power to display, connected the dess and the display powered. Ski started up no problem. Pulled dess and ski shut off and display powered off as it should, with fuel pump kicking back on and a clicking sound in the engine.
I pulled relay cause it’s still sending power to the engine and fuel pump. If I reinstall a new relay, I get nothing with the dess, no power, back to square one.
do I have a bad dess or ECM? Not sure what I am bypassing by crimping the relay contact. Anyone I’ve asked has no clue or says change the relay, which I have with 3ea brand new relays different manufacturers. Thoughts?
