Hey,guys and girls of the seadoo world.I have purchaced it not knowing if it was supercharged or not and now my queston is did I make a bad deal. The bike will only do 45mph. and the title says it"s only52.6 Hp.Any one have any hope?

What size engine do you have in it?

Most skis that are Super Charged (SC) will go around 45 MPH when the SC has failed or if one of the hoses going to the SC has failed or come off.

If I am reading you right, you still don;t know if you have a SC'er. Is that correct?

two engines were available, the 155 and the 215.
Here is the specs on the two options.

155 hp Rotax

Now how or were do I go to find out what it is? I know it is fuel injected, and the only thing I have is the tital with 52.6 hp.

I think I found my answer, under the seat say"s Engine famley 7BCXM1.504GN Engine Displacement 1493.8cc and it has no carbs so It must be SC

No Carb (injected) is the 215 engine with a SC...

Take a GOOD look at the hoses going to the SC. See if one is cracked or off or has a loose clamp. If so, fix that.

If not,, remove the hose going into the SC. Reach in with your finger and see if you can turn it. It will be VERY hard to turn if all is well.. If it is easy, then the SC is done.

All that said,,, the 2007 model had Ceramic washers in the SC. These washers are a major issue. Unless you have paperwork frm the previous owner (PO) that shows these have been changed, you MUST replace them.

Officially the SC needs rebuilt every 100 hrs. SO,, if you are over 50 or so hours you might as well rebuild the entire unit now and hten be good for the next 100 hrs.

When it is rebuilt it will get STEEL washers. The issue with the ceramic washers is, they fail and he ceramic parts go into the engine and DESTROY it...

N/A...normally/naturally aspirated...means no carb?

Huh. I thought that meant no boost...ie...no super/turbo charger....still could be injected.

Why not just look at the back of the motor...follow the air intake...and see if there's a sc back there...or not?
